Artificial selection is the process by which humans select individual organisms with certain phenotypic trait values for breeding. It selects for traits already present in a species. Breeding is only done on individuals that have desirable traits.

Genetically modified organism is an animal, plant, or microbe whose DNA has been modified by the use of genetic engineering techniques. It creates new traits and use tools of DNA technology to precisely employ a genome. It modifies the genetic composition of plants or animals by introducing genes of new traits or silencing genes.

Examples of artificial selection are farming livestock, dogs, and wheat.

Examples of genetically modified organisms are herbicide tolerance of soybean and insect resistance of corn.

By means of an example, explain how poaching can conteibute to the over utilisation of a species
makkiz [27]
An example of this can be the exploitation of ivory. Elephants who provide people with ivory are being poached all the time because there's no way to get ivory other than this, and since the market is insatiable, the elephants are dying out and the poachers are profiting.
