Which movement of a lumbar motion segment causes the larges increase in tension on the posterior fibers of the annulus fibrosis?

The lumbar motion segment's flexion movement will significantly increase the tension on the posterior fibers of the annulus fibrosis.

A bending action known as a flexion reduces the angle between a segment and its proximal segment. In contrast to flexion, extension refers to a straightening motion that widens the angle between two bodily parts.T thesehese include gluteal muscles and the broad, paired muscles in the lower back that support the spine. The flexor muscles enable the lower back to flex, bend forward, lift, and arch because they are connected to the front of the spine.

It raises the stress on the posterior annulus fibrosis fibers. The intervertebral disc's rigid, circumferential surface, the annulus fibrosus, protects the nucleus pulposus, the soft inner core. This outer layer comprises a ring of ligament fibers that tightly joins the spinal vertebrae above and below the disc and encases the disc's inner core.
