-5/3 is the constant of variation where y varies directly with x.

How to solve an equation?

To solve linear equations, utilize the steps that are provided below.

 1. Remove parentheses from each side of the equation and combine similar terms to make it simpler.
 2. To separate the variable term on one side of the equation, use addition or subtraction.
 3. To find the variable, use division or multiplication.
 4. The common denominator can be multiplied by each side of the equation to eliminate fractions.

Lets take an example of solve z for 7z – (3z – 4) = 12

Here is no multiplication or division, so this will be easy to solve

⇒ 7z – (3z – 4) = 12

⇒ 7z – 3z + 4 = 12

⇒ 4z = 12 – 4

⇒ 4z = 8

⇒ z = 8/4

⇒ z = 2

See, that was so simple, using the mentioned methods, every linear equation can be solved easily.

A DIRECT VARIATION is a mathematical relationship between two variables that can be stated mathematically by an equation in which one variable equals a constant times the other. y = kx

⇒ 5 x+3 y=0

⇒ 3y= -5x

⇒ y = -5x/3

Thus, y = -5/3 × x, here k is constant = -5/3

Here are the prices of some items and the amount of sales tax charged on each in Nevada
Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:

hoped this helped

Step-by-step explanation:

10$ + $4.20 = $14.20

 • 50$ x 0.230= 11.50

50$ + $11.50= $61.50

 • 5$ x 0.23 = 1.15

At my favorite computer store, there was a sale of 20% off. I bought a $300
pochemuha

Answer:

The total cost of the computer = $ 252

Step-by-step explanation:

The cost of the computer = $300

The sale percentage of the computer = 20%

20% ( 300) = $60

The current price of the computer = 300 - 60 = $240

5% of salex tax on the computer = 5% (240) = 12

The total price = current price of the computer + sales tax

= 240 + 12

= $252
