While most of us participate in sports as adults to gain physical advantages or to achieve a competitive objective, children's primary motive is to play and have fun.

Why do you think so many people like to play sports?

Participating in sports not only makes you feel good physically, but it also makes you feel better about yourself. So much so that medical professionals and psychologists even suggest taking up sports as a kind of self-care for conditions like sadness and anxiety. We feel more certain and content when we succeed at anything, whether it's getting better at a skill, winning a game, or even gaining new friends.

Additionally, conquering obstacles enhances our desire to do better, which motivates us to strive for higher goals. Everyone on a sports team at Warwick is also aware that without the social component, sports just wouldn't be the same. Excellent social support is established by the cohesion and solid social ties that result from team membership.

While the majority of us engage in sports as adults to improve our physical fitness or to pursue a competitive goal, children's primary motivation is to play and enjoy themselves.

Why do you believe there are so many people who enjoy sports?

In addition to improving your physical well-being, engaging in sports also improves your self-esteem. So much so that psychologists and medical specialists even advise taking up athletics as a kind of self-care for ailments like depression and anxiety. When we achieve at something, whether it's improving a skill, winning a game, or even making new friends, we feel more confident and pleased.

Additionally, overcoming challenges increases our desire to improve, which inspires us to aim higher. Everyone on a Warwick sports team is also conscious of how different sports would be without the social aspect. The coherence and strong social links that come from team membership create excellent social support.

What symbolizes light, dark, and color in “All the light we cannot see” By Anthony Doerr
Temka [501]

Answer: Generosity

Caring for others

Multiculturalism

Empowerment and perseverance

Explanation: Although I see all four of these themes in Anthony Doerr’s award-winning novel All The Light We Cannot See, the importance of caring for others rings loudest. That the author can connect a young blind French girl with a young orphaned German boy growing up under Hitler’s influence, speaks to the power and possibilities of communication across geographic and political divides.
