The Sons of Liberty, a well-organized Patriot paramilitary political organization shrouded in secrecy, was established to undermine British rule in colonial America and was influential in organizing and carrying out the Boston Tea Party. The origins and founding of the Sons of Liberty is unclear, but history records the earliest known references to the organization to 1765 in the thriving colonial port cities of Boston and New York.

Answer:

The group "Sons of Liberty" emerged in the united states' colonies. They opposed the taxes levied by the British and advocated the rights of its people. Their constant revolt paved the way for the revolutionary war.

To maintain control over its colonies, Britain required finances to manage its forces. Subsequently, Britain levied unnecessary taxes in its colonies.

The major unwarranted tax was the Stamp Act which caused the major revolt from Sons of Liberty and hence, fuelled the revolutionary war.
