REWRITING EQUATIONS FROM STANDARD FORM TO SLOPE-INTERCEPT FORM Standard Form of an Equation: • Rewrite the equation in slope-int

ercept form. 1. 10x + y = 3 2. x - 2y = 4 3. 18x + 3y = 6

6 0

The slope intercept form is always y= mx + b, where m represents the slope or inclination, and b the y intercept ( the point where the line cuts the Y axis)

then first case 10x +y = 3 is rewrited to y= -10x + 3

second case x- 2y =4. Is rewrited to -2y = -x + 4 it means y = -x/-2 + (4/-2)

third case 18 x + 3y = 6. Is rewrited to 3y = -18x + 6. Then y= (-18/3)x + (6/3)

Which of the following is equivalent to | − 12 + 3 | ?
melisa1 [442]

Answer:

9

Step-by-step explanation:

The answer to | − 12 + 3 | is 9 because if you add -12 + 3, you get -9. However, since it is the absolute value, we would make it the same number but positive.

Hope this helped! :)

Answer: Answer is in the step.

Step-by-step explanation:

The student made a mistake by identifying the maximum point by the x coordinate value of the vertex. Minimum or maximum points are determine using the y coordinate value. The student can determine the difference between a maximum and minimum by identifying the y coordinate of the vertex.

If the absolute value of a number is added to the original number will the sum always equal 0
lbvjy [14]
Not necessarily. the absolute value of a number is that number's distance from 0 on a number line. if your taking the absolute value of a negative value, what you stated would be true. however, what if you took the absolute value of a positive number? hope that answers your question.
