Equation in slope intercept form and in standard form for (-2,6) and parallel to x3y=5 will be x + 3y = 10

Given equation =>  x + 3y = 5

3y = -x + 5 so, we have to write it in the equation form,

y = -(1/3)x + 5/3

slope = -1/3     Parallel lines have the same slope.

Now, you have a point and a slope, so use the Point-Slope form of the equation of a line.

y - y1 = m(x - x1) , by using the equation of line

y - 6 = (-1/3)(x - 2), then we get

y - 4 = (-1/3)x + 2/3

y = (-1/3)x + 3 1/3   Slope-intercept Form

(1/3)x + y = 10/3     Multiply both sides by 3.

x + 3y = 10    Standard form

So, the equation is x + 3y = 10

A triangle has sides of lengths 12,14 and 19 . Is it a right triangle?
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

It could be

Step-by-step explanation:

The calculation of sides of a rectangular triangle can be done by applying the Pythagorean theorem (the sum of the squares of the legs is equal to the square of the hypotenuse), both legs must form a right angle, and the value of the hypotenuse must be different from the legs. In the example what you give could be a value of one leg and the other of the hypotenuse.

Please help.
Bad White [126]

Answer:

Parallel: a and b, p and q, p and r, q and r

PErpendicular: p&a, p&b, q&a, q&b, r&a, r&b

Step-by-step explanation:

Parallel lines have the same slope so both of the lines would be going in the same direction and will never cross each other.

Perpendicular lines cross at a 90 degree angle.

Technically you do not know if q&a and q&b are perpendicular because you do not know if there is a 90 degree angle
