The most accurately describes cotton’s purpose in this excerpt from an exposition upon the 13th chapter of revelation is of to describe the leadership roles of women and men in the family.

The main facts from the cotton’s purpose excerpt are:

  • Bad leadership, in Cotton's opinion, can have a hostile effect. He explained that it's crucial for people to possess positive traits that set them apart as leaders.
  • To "explain the negative effect created by leadership that fails to adore the limitations set by the almighty," according to John Cotton's stated purpose,
  • He demonstrates how each person is born with both good and evil traits.
  • However, the All-Powerful has established some limitations to stop evil and promote righteousness and love. The penalty would be on the person who disobeyed these restrictions.

Which meter is used in these lines from Shakespeare's Sonnet 18?
photoshop1234 [79]

We know it is iambic because we are able to stress every other syllable.

Just a little hint: Not all, but most poems are written in iambic. Even a lot of pop songs now-a-days are written in iambic meter  ;)

I believe Shakespeare had about 150 sonnets and only a few were not written in iambic. Crazy.

What does the queen mean when she say:
Elenna [48]

By this sentence, the queen meant that she can see only what is real.

We can arrive at this answer because:

  • In this scene, Hamlet is seeing his father's ghost.
  • He wants his mother, the queen, to see this ghost too, but she can't see him.

This scene puts Hamlet's mental rationality in doubt. The queen begins to suspect that her son is crazy and that is why she says the sentence shown in the question above, where she means that she can see everything that is real, but spirits and other silly things, she cannot see.
