Evidence of Systemic Bias Against Women and Minorities in Medicine Are Vast. Barriers for women and underrepresented minorities are pervasive and occur on both the macro and micro levels. To combat inequities, we must address unconscious biases that contribute to institutional systems favoring one group over others.
