Conceptual research is process that involves monitoring and evaluating material that is already available on certain issue. Conducting actual experiments isn't need for conceptual research. It has to do with thoughts  that are abstract.

As the name implies, conceptual research focuses on abstract concepts and ideas. It focuses on the researcher evaluating the knowledge that is already available on a certain issue rather than real testing.

Investigating a topic through observation and analysis of previously existing data is known as conceptual research. There are no practical testing included in conceptual research. It has to do with original ideas or notions.
