Digital storytelling encompasses a technology consisting of various multimedia modes such as graphics audio text video, and animation while traditional verbal storytelling has been passed down from generation to generation.

It's an ancient art of storytelling that has been passed down through generations and is preceded by modern technology. In traditional storytelling, the narrator uses a variety of verbal tones, gestures, and facial expressions to elicit reaction and engagement from the audience by telling a set story to one or more of her characters.
