What is a central idea?

We can define central idea as the underlying message of a literary work, that is, the message the author wants to convey to the audience. In part A, we are asked what the central idea of "The Sounds of Spring" is. The answer to that part would be:

 • Alexa's long-held wish to become a musician comes true in a surprising way.

For part B, we must choose the option that best supports the answer to part A, that is, the excerpt from the story that proves the central idea above is correct. In that case, the answer would be:

 • "Alexa walked over to the garage, and there stood the guitarist: Kaito Tanaka."

With the information above in mind, we can conclude that the answer provided above is correct.

The complete questions with the missing answer choices are provided below:

Veseljchak [2.6K]

Frankenstein is the novel that opens and closes with letters from Robert Walton. Walton writes one-way letters to his sister at the beginning of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein novel.

By using Walton's character and his letters to establish many of the topics later explored in "Frankenstein," such as the desire for knowledge and power, solitude, and nature, Shelley introduces the major themes of the book. These opening letters thus have an effect on the reader since they will shape how they see the rest of the book, leading them to reflect on significant issues that apply to all societies and cultures and giving them a sense of what is to follow in the novel.

The letters Walton writes to his sister from the narrative's framework. Walton even wrote the bulk of the narrative and emailed it to his sister. Walton's sister reads several accounts of the crew members in this letter, particularly the master's. We realize what a romantic Walton is because of the adoring and uplifting way he writes about the master in his story.

The concept of loneliness is introduced in this letter. It demonstrates that not only do all lonely people become insane, but all insane people also become lonely. This alludes to how Victor's madness caused him to lose everyone he had ever loved, but it also shows how the creature, who can't make friends because of the way he looks, becomes mad and begins killing innocent people.

In "Through the Tunnel," what does Jerry's mother think when he first asks to go down to the rocks? Choose two responses
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

В. She worries that he will hurt himself on the rocks.

E. She worries that she has been too protective of him.

Explanation:

In the book, "Through the Tunnel", Jerry and his mother are on vacation to a country with beaches. It is inferred that they are regular visitors of a certain beach and on the first day as they were walking to it, Jerry notices a rocky bay. His mother notices that he is not walking as fast and thinks he does not want to be with her so he goes with her but keeps his mind on the rocks all day.

The next day the scenario repeats itself and so his mother asks him if he no longer wants to go to the beach with her. After some hesitation he says he would like to play at the rocky bay.

The first thought on her mind was for his safety and then she worried that she may have been too overbearing and protective and so let him go.
