The square root of the algebra value x is 20.

Substitution algebra

Substitution in algebra simply means putting numbers where the letters are.

There are three algebra values given which are; x, y, and z

x = 2y

y = (1/4) of z

z = (1/2) of 1600

hence,

z = 1/2 × 1600

z = 800

we substitute the value of z in y = (1/4) of z

so y = 1/4 × 800

y = 200

also, we substitute the value of y in x = 2y

so x = 2 × 200

x = 400

take the square root of x and its value

√x = √400

√x = 20.

Therefore, by proper substitution of the algebra values, the square root of x is derived to be 20.

The volume of a pyramid that fits exactly inside a cube is 49 cubic feet. What is the volume of the cube?
Gekata [30.6K]
If the pyramid fits perfectly in a cube, this means that its base is a square and its height has the same value as the side of the square. Let x be the measure of the sides of the cube. The volume of the cube (Vc),
                                    Vc = x³   ; 49 ft³ = x³    ; x = 49^(1/3)

The volume of the pyramid is,
                                Vp = (1/3)(x²)(x) = (1/3)(x³)
Substituting the known values,
                                 Vp = (1/3)((49^(1/3))³ = 16 1/3 ft³

Thus, the volume of the pyramid is approximately 16.33 ft³.

To determine customer opinion of their pricing, Greyhound Lines randomly selects 90 busses during a certain week and surveys al
joja [24]

Answer: Cluster sampling.

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Cluster sampling is a sampling technique in statistics in which the researcher splits the entire population into different groups called clusters.
  • After that he randomly select a sample from the clusters from the population and survey all elements of sampled clusters.
  • Researcher performs his analysis on data from the sampled clusters.

In the given situation Greyhound Lines randomly selects 90 buses during a certain week and surveys all passengers on the buses.

Here, week= Cluster

Buses = Elements

Therefore , the type of sampling is used = Cluster sampling.

Is it possible for an acute angle and obtuse angle to create complementary angles?
kenny6666 [7]
I’d say no because a complementary angle is 2 or more angles with a sum of 90 degrees [tip for differentiating supplementary and complementary angles: complementary (c) comes first in the alphabet (this is 90 degrees) and supplementary (s) comes later (this is 180 degrees. 180 comes later in counting] Anyway, an obtuse angle is more than 90 degrees which already can’t be a sum. (I’m not 100% sure but I hope this helps!)

MArishka [77]

Answer:

it is. opiton A : 4.8

Step-by-step explanation:

since the side l to m is 4. in and it is mulipied by three to get the new side l' to m' whixh is 12 in. then we multiply 8 by 3 which is 24 and now we look for what times 5 is 24

and that is 4.8

Soup Shop sells soup in 1-quart containers. This morning, they made 6 gallons of tomato basil soup and put it in containers to s
vivado [14]

Answer: They have 30 containers of soup in all.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Total quantity of tomato basil soup= 6 gallons

Since 1 gallon = 4 quarters

Then , 6 gallons = 6 x 4 = 24 gallons

Since shop sells soup in 1-quart containers.

Now, total containers need to store 24 quarts soup= 24

They also had 8 containers leftover from yesterday.

So, total containers of soup they have =24+8 = 32

Hence, they have 30 containers of soup in all.
