The graph shows the system y=2x+1 y=2x^2+1 Which ordered pairs are solutions of the system?
zhenek [66]
Hey!

To solve this problem, we would really have to graph both equations.

<em>OPEN THE FIRST IMAGE</em>

The first image I provided was the image of this equation graphed: <span>y=2x+1

<em>OPEN THE SECOND IMAGE</em>

The second image I provided was the image of this equation graphed: </span><span>y=2x^2+1

<em>PLEASE DO NOT LOOK AT THE THIRD IMAGE YET!</em>

The first image has two points. One at ( -0.5, 0 ) and the other at ( 0, 1 ).

The second image has only one point, which is at ( 0, 1 ).

<em>OPEN THE THIRD IMAGE</em>

Now, when both are combined we see that they intersect at two points, which are ( 0, 1 ) and ( 1, 3 ).

So, our answer is...

<em>The ordered pairs that are the solution to the system are</em>  </span><span>( 0,1 ) and ( 1,3 ).

Hope this helped!

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

<em>Find points from graph.</em>

Point (-6, 5)

Point (5,  -7)

<u>Step 2: Find Midpoint</u>

Simply plug in your coordinates into the midpoint formula to find midpoint

  1. Substitute [MF]:                      (\frac{-6+5}{2},\frac{5-7}{2})
  2. Add/Subtract:                         (\frac{-1}{2},\frac{-2}{2})

Find the perimeter of each figure. an isosceles triangle with congruent sides of 16.2 cm and a third side half that length
julsineya [31]
To find the perimeter of the triangle, you will add the lengths of each side.

We know two of the sides are 16.2 cm.  We also know that the third side is half this (16.2/2) or 8.1 cm.

16.2 cm + 16.2 cm + 8.1 cm = 40.5 cm

The perimeter of the triangle is 40.5 cm.
