Write a two-sentence objective summary of the poem. Summarize what happens or what is stated directly, without including any of

your own opinions or interpretations?
This is the poem:
When I heard the learn’d astronomer,
When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me,
When I was shown the charts and diagrams, to add, divide, and measure them,
When I sitting heard the astronomer where he lectured with much applause in the lecture-room,
How soon unaccountable I became tired and sick,
Till rising and gliding out I wander’d off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
Look’d up in perfect silence at the stars.

A two-sentence objective summary of the poem that includes a summary of what happens or what is stated directly, without including any of your own opinions or interpretations is given below:

The poem talks about the awe he had and has for the astronomer and how learned and educated he was and the proofs and figures he gave to the poeple.

It also mentions that soon the speaker began to feel unaccountable and became tired and sick and would begin to look up to the skies and wonder and contemplate.

What is an Objective Summary?

This refers to the term that is used to describe the type of summary that is done about a thing with the use of facts, and no personal opinion or viewpoint.

Hence, it can be seen that the objective summary of the poem has been given above.

With this in mind, one can make the deduction that the correct answer has been given and well explained above.

Svetradugi [14.3K]

Answer:

A map of Africa

Explanation:

Including a map of Africa with this text would provide the best support for the details in the excerpt. In this text, we learn about the journey that Livingstone was going to undergo in Africa. Livingstone was going to explore the East side of the continent, and travel 260 miles upriver to the town of Tete. The reader would most benefit from a map in which he could trace Livingstone's journey.
