Considered one of the most influential liberal feminist groups in the US, NOW primarily advocates for gender equality within the framework of the current political system.  NOW works to promote racial justice, economic justice, reproductive rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, and equality under the law.  It also campaigns against violence against women.
