The Silk Road is one that was not involved in only the promotion of commodity exchange but also in the areas of cultural integration.

A good example is that Buddhism as seen as one of the religions that belongs to the Kushan kingdom until it was said to have reached China. A lot of merchant caravans who were known to be Buddhist monks were said to have gone to from India to the regions of Central Asia and China, talking about their new religion.
