NK = NM + ML + LK

Where;

Substitute the values into the equation

(x - 6) + 9 + 2x - 19 = 23

collect like terms

x + 2x -6 + 9 - 19 = 23

Add like terms

3x - 16 = 23

3x = 23 + 16

3x = 39

Divide both sides by 3

x = 39/ 3

x = 13

Thus, the value of x is 13
