The equation is:

2x-4=3^{-x}+1

Now we can evaluate the posible values of x so:

for x=2.5

2(2.5)-4=3^{-2.5}+1

so now we operate:

\begin{gathered} 5-4=0.06+1 \\ 1=0.06+1 \\ 0\approx0.06 \end{gathered}

For x=1

2(1)-4=3^{-1}+1

Now we operate:

\begin{gathered} 2-4=0.33+1 \\ -2\ne1.33 \end{gathered}

for x=2

\begin{gathered} 2(2)-4=3^{-2}+1 \\ 4-4=0.11+1 \\ 0\ne1.11 \end{gathered}

and for x=3.25

\begin{gathered} 2(3.25)-4=3^{-3.25}+1 \\ 6.5-4=0.02+1 \\ 2.5\ne1.02 \end{gathered}

So the clousest one is the option A

6. On day 1 of a bake sale, the group sold 125 chocolate chip cookies and 75 oatmeal cookies. They also received donations that
GalinKa [24]

Answer:$1.33

Step-by-step explanation: What I did is I subtracted the 46 dollars in donations from the total they raised on day 1 to get the amount for just the cookies $150. Then I added the amount of the 2 total of cookies sold = 200. Then, I took the amount of cookies sold and divided it by the amount they made selling the cookies = 1.33. 200 ÷ 150 = 1.33

I hope this helps

Apply the communitive property to 13x7x21 to rearrange the terms and still get the same solution
Snezhnost [94]
The commutative porperty states that numbers can be swapped over , they can change their place in the equation and the result will still be the same.
In our case 13 x 7 x 21, the commutative property means that the numbers can be rearranged
13x7x21=13x21x7=7x21x13=7x13x21

8. Jenny is getting dressed for school,
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

\huge\boxed{\bf\: Probability = \frac{4}{9}}

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the given information,

  • Pairs of black pants = 2
  • Pair of brown pants = 1
  • Pairs of blue pants = 2

Then, total pairs of pants = 2 + 1 + 2 = 5

Similarly,

  • Pink T-shirts = 2
  • Blue T-shirts = 2

Then, total number of T-shirts = 4

This gives us the total nunber of clothing articles with Jenny, i.e.,

Total pairs of pants + Total number of T-shirts

= 5 + 4

= 9

Now, the probability of pulling out a pair of black pants & a blue T-shirt will be:

Total pairs of black pants + Total nunber of blue T-shirts/Total clothing articles

= 2 + 2 / 9

= 4/9

\rule{150}{2}
