2x + y = 3 becomes y = 3 - 2x

-2x + y = -1 becomes y = -1 + 2x

2x + y = 5 becomes y = 5 - 2x

Parallel: 2x + y = 5

Perpendicular: 0.5x + 7

I THINK that the line parallel to a is y=1/2x7 and the one perpendicular to a is -2+y=-1
