- 15 x + 44 = 8 x - 12
Subtract 8x from both sides.

-15x+44-8x=-12
Combine -15x and -8x to get -23x

-23x+44=-12
Subtract 44 from both sides

-23x=-12-44
Subtract 44 from -14 to get -56

-23x=-56 divide both sides by -56

x=-56/-23

Can be simplified by removing negative sign which makes it 56/23.
