History gives us a glimpse of our past. we often learn about societies, systems, ideologies, etc through documented history. However this documentation of history is subjective.

It is written by different people who have different opinions and view and they tend to document it their own way. Therefore I will say that not all historical events in our country (Philippines) written by historians are accurate.

“History is Written by Victors.” The quote gets attributed to Winston Churchill, but its origins are unknown. It implies that history is not grounded in facts, rather it's the winners' interpretation of them that prevails. The victors can force their narrative down on the people.
