Indicators that the local currency is also the functional currency include all of the following except the parent typically provides the financing or provides a guarantee.

A functional currency is one that is utilized in the main economic setting in which a company conducts business. This is the setting in which an entity generates and spends money most frequently. When defining the functional currency of an entity, the following key considerations should be taken into account:

The principal currency influencing retail prices (usually the currency in which prices are denominated and settled).

The money of the nation whose laws and competition have the biggest impact on retail pricing.

The principal currency affecting labor expenses and other costs of goods sold (usually the currency in which prices are denominated and settled).

The currency in which an entity keeps its operating receipts and the currency in which debt and equity instruments are issued are less important deciding factors.

serious [3.7K]

This is asking for a cost-benefit analysis. This simply means look at the cost of the change and see if the benefit is greater than the cost.

In this case, the cost would be $40 million but there is a benefit (cost savings) of $70 million.

Since the benefit outweighs the cost, it is a good idea.

Studies that fail to establish significant benefits of an intervention like medication are often never submitted for publication
Umnica [9.8K]
The issue with this approach is that this inclination toward distributing just positive outcomes seriously constrains our capacity to assess the viability of antidepressants since we are just observing a cut of the real information. Further, a few scientists have addressed whether individuals with not as much as serious melancholy may have encountered positive outcomes in light of their desire of advantage, also called the misleading impact.

What are the pro's and cons of the internet in a medical office
Kruka [31]
From what you are saying, you are asking the pros and cons of having internet in a medical office and not using the internet for medical advice. But here are really the only reasons that I can think of:

Pros:

1. The internet can help people stay connected. Having internet allows the office to contact others such as other medical offices or simply customers.

2. Being connected to the internet allows the office to store/connect to public storages/databases such as a cloud which provides for organization and space int he office.

Cons:

1. The internet can be used as a distraction which would allow employees to go on the internet for personal use such as computer games or social media.

2. Being connected to the internet brings about a much larger risk of being hacked since medical offices are connected to databases which contains consumer information, it will be a target for hackers. If you look up "Medical record hacks" you will find articles explaining this problem.

This is about all the information that I can give. If there is anything else that I can do, ring me up :)

Pam and Lennyâs ice cream shop charges $1.6 for a cone. Variable expenses are $0.35 per cone, and fixed costs total $2,200 per m
Andrei [34K]

Answer:

Pam and Lenny's Ice Cream Shop

a. The effect of the promotion on operating income for the second week of February is an increase by $350.

b. The promotion should occur.  The shop will make additional operating income of $350 within the second week.  And there will be spillover positive effects during the coming weeks after the promotion.

Explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

Selling price per cone of ice cream = $1.60

Variable expenses = $0.35

Contribution = $1.25

Fixed costs per month = $2,200

Additional sales from the promotion = 650 cones

Revenue from additional sales = $1,040.00 ($1.60 * 650)

Variable cost                                     227.50 ($0.35 * 650)

Cost of promotions:

Giveaways                                        297.50 ($0.35 * 850)

Advertising costs                              165.00

Total costs                                      $690.00

Additional income                          $350.00
