The rocks that are formed predominantly from the calcium carbonate shells of marine organisms are classified as biochemical.

Limestone is a common sedimentary rock composed primarily of the mineral calcite (CaCO3). It is formed by crystallization from water or by the accumulation of shell and shell debris. Limestone, a sedimentary rock, is composed primarily of calcite, the skeleton of microscopic organisms.

Most limestone forms on the ocean floor from calcium carbonate deposits and the remains of shell-bearing marine life. If limestone is found on land, it can be assumed that the area was previously submerged.

In general, rocks can be classified into three main types based on their formation process. These are; igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks, and metamorphic rocks.

How are circulation patterns with in the atmosphere created
saveliy_v [14]
The wind circulates in each of the two hemispheres in three distinct cells which help transport energy and heat from the equator to both of the poles. The winds are driven by the energy from the sun at the surface as warm air rises and colder air sinks. The circulation cell that is closest to the equator is called Hadley cell.
