All else being equal, increasing the mean difference between groups will increase the likelihood of finding a significant p-value from a t-test.

Statistical significance means that the observed results in the sample are unusual if the null hypothesis is accepted as true. if you are testing a hypothesis using the P-value approach and the P-value is large, you are rejecting the null hypothesis.

The smaller the p-value, the more evidence against the null hypothesis. therefore, if an investor finds that his p-value is 0.001, there is strong evidence against the null hypothesis and the investor is confident that portfolio returns and S&P 500 returns are not comparable.

The P-value represents the probability that, for a given statistical model, the statistical summary will match or exceed the actual observed results if the null hypothesis is true.

A community citizens group wishes to explore the potential for developing a renewable source of electric energy in their area. T
cricket20 [7]

Answer:

They omitted the cost to promote possible environmental recovery techniques.

Explanation:

As we can see from the question above, a community assessed the availability and many resources needed to generate electricity from the development of a renewable energy source. Although the resources evaluated are, in fact, necessary for the development of this source, the community failed to assess a possible environmental impact that this energy production can cause, because even though it is a renewable energy, it can use environmental resources that can generate a certain impact. Therefore, the community decided to assess the costs necessary to implement environmental recovery techniques, if necessary.

When Tomas teases his younger brother, his parents make Tomas sit in a corner for long periods of time. From what you have learn
Aneli [31]

Answer:

Tomas may learn to tease his brother only when his parents are not around

Explanation:

In the scenario being described the most likely outcome is that Tomas may learn to tease his brother only when his parents are not around. Since Tomas gets in trouble and punished when he is caught by his parents teasing his brother, he will eventually begin to only tease his brother when his parents are not there to catch him doing so. That way he will still be able to mess with his brother but won't have to deal with the consequences of doing so.
