Modernism, or twentieth-century visual art, was frequently perceived to be in a condition of ambiguity or crisis.

Modernity of visual art:

The essential word for the new century, according to Robert Hughes, was "modernity," which he defined as believing in technology rather than craft since at the time, people were intrigued by machines because of their "fast, metallic, elastic [and] warm" appearances.

Some points regarding the effect of technology on visual art are given below-

 • The creation and mass development of new technology, as well as its impact on people, were among the changes that led to the key turning point inside the visual arts during this period.
 • Along with the effects of conflict, contemporary art was also affected by the creation of new ideas and the finding of new facts, including the idea that a fourth dimension might exist and the study of the unconscious and conscious minds.
 • Dada, an anti-war movement founded during World War I, considered the aesthetics of the artwork secondary to that same ideas conveyed, Cubism, that also aimed to showcase a range of possible outlooks of an object or figure, Futurism, which embraced industrial equipment and praised war, Dada, and Surrealism, which has been described as a "impatient interrogation of reality" and which seeks to recognize desolation.

Which two sets of political ideas spread as a result of the worldwide depression of the 1930s
adoni [48]

The correct answers are B and E, since both fascism and communism spread worldwide as a result of the political and economic consequences of the Great Depression.

Fascism is an ideology, a political movement and a type of State of totalitarian and undemocratic character; created by the Italian Benito Mussolini, spread in interwar Europe from 1918 to 1939 as a result of the economic and social crises that hit Italy after the First World War, including among those the Great Depression.

Communism also expanded as a consequence of this crisis. Marxist economic theory had been developing since the middle of the 19th century, but since the Russian Revolution it had an effective application. At the outbreak of the Great Depression, Russia was not affected due to its policies of strong market control, so the world saw communism as an alternative to the capitalism, able to avoid future economic crises.
