In reducing communication apprehension, relaxation approach trains one  to associate public speaking with positive thoughts.

This approach is basically used to overcome the public speaking anxiety. It also helps a person to remember his/her speech by reducing the level of stress and nervousness in a person.

Therefore, it is an effective approach/technique used to overcome or reduce 'glossophobia.'

It is so because relaxation approach/technique involves learning to control ones breathing, to lower the heart rate, and to lessen the strain/tension in your muscles.

Few methods which one can use in relaxation approach/technique are-

  • Aromatherapy,
  • Therapy through music or art,
  • To take deep breaths,
  • To Meditate,
  • Head/shoulder massage, etc.
