The Grenade was the ideal weapon for the close up, confined combat conditions of the trench. It was extremely effective for cleaning out a dugout, silencing a machine gun nest, or repelling an enemy assault when it was slowed by a wire entanglement. The main problem in holes is that the commanding person forcing everyone to dig holes is extremely racist. He is forcing African American kids to dig more then the White kids are and is extremlely unfair. White kids get special treatment throughout it and get to have warm showers but the other kids do not.
