Why should the flag be protected?
GuDViN [60]
Protection for offensive speech—even flag burning—is the bedrock of the First Amendment, because ideas we all share need no protection. The First Amendment protects unpopular opinions so that speakers and listeners have the freedom to decide for themselves what speech is worthwhile and what speech should be rejected.

Discuss what you consider to be the primary motivating factor that influenced the Spanish settlement in the New World. Was it gr
pochemuha

Answer:

Greed

Explanation:

Spain's settlement of the New World did appear to have some religious undertones to it, at least at the beginning. But, I think overall it was really for just greed. I think all of the reasoning they gave for wanting to conquer was just covering up the fact that they just wanted to get their first. Like with any case of imperialism, all any country wants is to have control over much more land than other countries. Not to mention the new items and materials discovered, which probably sold for a high price. I also think there is a part of us human beings, that are always striving to expand and find more beyond what we know, but that's a whole other topic entirely.

How did the ancient Phoenicians contribute to the system of trade? Why was this contribution important?
VladimirAG [237]

Answer:The Phoenicians and the colonies helped to create a trade network that traversed the Mediterranean Sea and beyond. This network helped the region to recover from the collapse of civilizations associated with the Sea Peoples. However, the Phoenicians were not just traders; they were also notorious pirates and slavers.
