Solution:

Area of the base (B) = $\frac{1}{2}bh$

                                  $=\frac{1}{2}\times 16 \times 20$

Area of the base (B) = 160 in²

Volume of triangular pyramid:

$V=\frac{1}{3} BH$

where B is base area and h is the height of the pyramid.

$V=\frac{1}{3} \times 160\times 15$

$V=800$ in³

The volume of the triangular pyramid is 800 cubic inches.
