What explanation did Weber give for capitalism flourishing in Western Europe and North America?
ira [324]

Answer: The influence of the dominant religion of these regions.

Max Weber was a German philosopher, sociologist and political economist. One of his most famous works is <em>"The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism." </em>In this book, Weber argues that the Protestant ethic of Northern Europe (in particular Calvinism) motivated actions such as valuing hard work, developing enterprises, accumulating and investing wealth and engaging in trade. Based on the map what conclusion can you draw about the eastern woodlands people
Helga [31]

I can't give a good answer without a map but I will try. The Eastern Woodlands is a cultural area of the indigenous people of North America. The Eastern Woodlands extended roughly from the Atlantic Ocean to the eastern Great Plains, and from the Great Lakes region to the Gulf of Mexico, which is now occupied by the eastern United States and Canada. This land was occupied by indigenous people of North America. Eastern Woodland Native Americans commonly lived in wigwams or wickiups. ... Trade between the Europeans and the Natives was extremely popular. Native Americans would trade deer hides, and beaver pelts for European goods such as guns, knives, wool, silver, beads, and kettles. Corn provided a large portion of the diet. The Indigenous people of the Eastern Woodlands spoke languages belonging to several language groups, including Algonquian, Iroquoian, Muskogean, and Siouan, as well as apparently isolated languages such as Calusa, Chitimacha, Natchez, Timucua, Tunica and Yuchi.

I hope this helps

Mumz [18]

The statement is true.

In psychology, people who have an external locus of control believe that they cannot control the events that happen in their life, no matter how much they try to prevent something from happening. They believe that these events are caused by uncontrollable factors.

Believing that wars will always take place in societies, is an example of an external locus of control belief.
