Density is <em>the ratio of mass and volume</em> which means an increase in volume will decrease the density of a liquid.

Thus an increase in temperature has a negative impact on density and the density decreases. Salinity tends to increase with density. Thus temperature has a negative impact on salinity as well. When <em>temperature increases salinity decreases. </em>
