Children: E) wonder told through simple sentences

Since children tend to be more imaginative, dreamy, curious and their cognitive level is not as high as that of an adult, they tend to love stories with elements of wonder, beauty, and fantasy, that are conveyed with simple sentences.

Adults B) life lessons told through complex sentences

Many adults prefer to read stories that can teach them something, and since their cognitive level is higher than that of children's, adults also enjoy narratives with a hidden meaning and complex ideas.

Fans of horror D) dark stories about strange encounters

Fans of horror prefer dark stories that evoke a feeling of fear and suspense.

Fans of romance C) sweet stories about happy encounters

Romance stories often include plots relating to chivalry, knights, heroes, adventures, quests or love in a sentimental or idealized way, in which happy encounters are common.

Fans of mystery: A) complicated stories with twists and puzzles

Fans of mystery prefer stories with an obscure or puzzling plot, in which the outcome is not easy to predict, and there are issues that are not easy to solve or understand.

What is the central irony used to support the satire in the passage? The king prefers a pretentious son to his more sensible siblings. The king finds great value in a son who has little sense. The king is unable to see that Shadwell is really a poor choice. The king believes that maturity will build more sense in his son. What are three possible explanations why Shakespeare left Stratford-upon-Avon and headed for London?
Alja [10]
The years when Shakespeare left Stratford for London are not very well known, but here are some possible reasons why he might have made the move!

1. An obvious reason for Shakespeare to move would be that there was a ton more theatre in London than Stratford. There were some acting troupes that made it out there, but if Shakespeare really wanted to be an actor and a playwright he needed to be in the big city.

2. Another crazy reason that we have a little proof on is that Shakespeare illegally poached a deer off of Sir Thomas Lucy's land. He then moved to London so that he could escape the punishment for that crime.

3. A possible reason that Shakespeare might have left is because of sickness in Stratford. We know that it spread at least to his son who died years after he moved to England, but it could have been a possibility that there was sickness in the town already that Shakespeare wanted to get away from.
