Actually, the Allies adapted the strategy of island hopping in WWII because it saved lives, time, effort, money, ammunition, food, ships, and everything else. In taking only key islands, the other islands would be cut off from the Japanese mainland and basically all supplies and equipment. Island hopping also allowed the US to quickly go through the places without spending much time liberating each one. It help end the war sooner, and the US were able to complete their objective much more quickly.

hope this helps

1. Why did the American Colonies fight a war of independence against Great Britain?
Lynna [10]

Answer: because the British was Neglecting them and raising taxes

Explanation: they we're being neglected by the king and basically started their own form of government. The taxes was getting out of hand for them ( like tea) so they said " we no longer wanna serve under your rule" and wanted to be their own country. At the time Britain and other countries were at war with napoleon ( i think), which is why they were neglected and why taxes were raised ( that's why we drink coffee instead of tea)

Let us assume that the first country is the United States of America and the second country is French Republic.

The year that Georgia was founded was 1733.

The result would be:

= 294 + 1733
