Hallie bikes 1 5/8 km before lunch 6 1/4 km How much farther does hallies bike after lunch than before lunch? Express your answe
kondaur [170]

Distance biked before lunch = 1\frac{5}{8} km (the number is written in mixed fraction)

⇒ Distance biked before lunch = \frac{13}{8}

Distance biked after lunch = 6\frac{1}{4} km (the number is written in mixed fraction)

⇒ Distance biked after lunch = \frac{25}{4}

We need to determine how much farther does Hallie bike after lunch than before lunch

Extra distance biked after lunch vs. before lunch = \frac{25}{4} - \frac{13}{8}

⇒ Extra distance biked after lunch vs. before lunch = \frac{50-13}{8}

⇒ Extra distance biked after lunch vs. before lunch = \frac{37}{8}

⇒ Extra distance biked after lunch vs. before lunch = 4\frac{5}{8} (in mixed fraction)

Hence, Hallie biked 4\frac{5}{8} km extra after lunch vs. before lunch.

Use Green's Theorem to evaluate the line integral along the given positively oriented curve.
Vlad [161]

By Green's theorem, the line integral is equivalent to the area integral

\displaystyle\int_C(3y+7e^{\sqrt x})\,\mathrm dx+(8x+9\cos(y^2))\,\mathrm dy=\int_0^1\int_{x^2}^{\sqrt x}\frac{\partial(8x+9\cos(y^2))}{\partial x}-\frac{\partial(3y+7e^{\sqrt x})}{\partial y}\,\mathrm dy\,\mathrm dx

=\displaystyle5\int_0^1\int_{x^2}^{\sqrt x}\mathrm dy\,\mathrm dx=\boxed{\frac53}

Helppppppppppp please am struggling
AURORKA [14]

Answer:

x = 60°

Step-by-step explanation:

The circle is 360°, thus

2y + y = 360

3y = 360 ( divide both sides by 3 )

y = 120°

The tangent- secant angle ABT is one half the measure of the intercepted arc AB, thus

x = 0.5 × 120° = 60°

A geometric sequence has an initial value of 2 and a common ratio of 3. Which formula would be more practical to use if you were
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

19th term = ar^18

19th term = 774,840,978

Step-by-step explanation:

First term, a = 2

Common ratio, r = 3

nth term of a geometric sequence = ar^(n-1)

19th term = ar^(19-1)

19th term = ar^18

= 2 × 3^18

= 2 × 387,420,489

= 774,840,978

19th term = 774,840,978
