rDNA technology is technology of creating new combination of DNA While Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is one of the techniques used in r DNA technology for amplification of particular DNA fragment. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) is used in molecular biology to amplify a single copy or a few copies of a segment of DNA across several orders of magnitude, generating thousands to millions of copies of a particular DNA sequence.

What is the difference between static and current electricity? give an example of each
Alenkasestr [34]
Static Electricity - the word static means 'at rest' - this kind of electricity exists when objects separated by an insulator has a build up of opposite charges. Because the attraction between these charges is so strong, they can flow even through great insulators. Ex: lightning, friction

Current Electricity - it makes electronic devices possible. There is a constant flow of charges in this type of electricity. In contrast to static electricity, current electricity is changing, dynamic and always on the move. Ex: starting a car, watching TV, using an electric stove.

What is the first step in the life cycle of a plant that reproduces sexually?
coldgirl [10]

Answer:

The most appropriate answer would be A sperm cell fertilizes an egg cell.

In sexually reproducing organisms including plants, life starts as a single-celled zygote which is formed by the fertilization of sperm and egg.

The zygote then divides through mitotic division to form an embryo.

After fertilization In angiosperms, the ovule matures to form seed and ovary matures to form fruit.

In gymnosperms, zygote develops into a new sporophyte.

Does mitosis ever stop in cells? explain your answer
BigorU [14]
Mitosis occurs after interphase (which is the phase that takes the longest) and is occurring all the time in your cells. Sometimes a cell will not go into a state of mitosis if an error is found during the interphase process (if it does, it's cancerous) . Some cells don't go through the process of mitosis, like neurons. But once a cell passes interphase without any errors, it will go into mitosis then cytokinesis. The process takes about one day and occurs when your body is repairing itself or if you're growing and developing. So yes, it happens all the time, just not in every single cell; just in most cells.
