He was a writer and a statesman in America. He was the twenty sixth president of United States and a governor in New York.

In 20th century in United States that is when he turned it in to a progressive era. He was among the five best president in the United states according to ranking.

He founded a party which its main purpose was for progressive reforms which were widely ranged.

After his first term as a president he wanted to run for a second term but his health could not allow him and he died in 1919.
