The Kent State Shooting ( also known as the Kent Massacre ) happened on May 4, 1970.

Unarmed college students were killed and wounded during a mass protest against the bombing of Cambodia of the United States military forces.

Twenty eights guardsmen of the Ohio National Guard fired about 67 rounds over a period of 13 seconds, killing four students and wounding nine others.

This shooting led to the national student strike of 4 million students as a sign of sympathy for the victims.
