This is because it’s such a huge leap for the country as they are getting about 2x the land they already have. I would be so shocked about it, since America is getting more land for farming, mining, etc... This would improve my living situation and money if I were there, because more land means more room to make money. I would be so grateful for Manifest Destiny at the time.</em>

The Boston Tea Party was a political protest that occurred on December 16, 1773, at Griffin’s Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts. American colonists, frustrated and angry at Britain for imposing “taxation without representation,” dumped 342 chests of tea, imported by the British East India Company into the harbor. The event was the first major act of defiance to British rule over the colonists. It showed Great Britain that Americans wouldn’t take taxation and tyranny sitting down, and rallied American patriots across the 13 colonies to fight for independence.

During the Renaissance the cities of Italy were (especially in the north) were the largest in Europe, their culture the most urban which made it easy to usher change during the Enlightenment
