As a child, Esperanza wants only to escape Mango Street. Her dreams of self-definition don’t include the fact that she has any responsibility to her family or to the people around her, and she wishes to leave them all behind. Once Esperanza has become familiar with the people in her neighborhood, however, she begins to feel affection and, ultimately, responsibility for them. She no longer sees herself as an individual striving for self-determination. Instead, she recognizes herself as a member of a social network who must give back to her community in order to break the cycle of poverty that plagues the neighborhood. It may also be a universal experience for all adolescent girls.

These lines from John Donne’s poem “To Mr. T. W.” are an example of what rhyme scheme? Haste thee harsh verse as fast as thy lam
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

aabbccdd.

Explanation:

Rhyme scheme is the pattern of rhyming in the end verses of the lines in a poem. In simple words, rhyme scheme is the sound patterns that have the same sound at the end of the lines.

Using small alphabets 'abcd' to signify the pattern of rhyme, the given lines from John Donne's poem have the pattern of sounds in this given sequence.

Haste thee harsh verse as fast as thy lame measure a

Will give thee leave, to him, my pain and pleasure. a

I have given thee, and yet thou art too weak, b

Feet, and a reasoning soul and tongue to speak. b

Plead for me, and so by thine and my labor, c

I am thy Creator, thou my Savior, c

Tell him, all questions, which men have defended d

Both of the place and pains…are ended; d

Thus, when taken together, the rhyme scheme of the given lines from the poem can be seen as aabbccdd.

Write 3-4 sentences describing a professional exchange of words between two people. What do they look like? What are they saying
Leni [432]

Answer:

A conversation between two business men for example, would include: Hand movement when talking but not too much, eye contact, good posture, small smile which makes you approachable.

This would not include: Slouching, eyes drifting away, don't look clearly bored, don't ignore their potential questions.

Include a proper greeting and farewell. In this situation you are talking to a business man so use professional language and talk/act in a mature manner.

Hope I could help <33
