The answer is 122°

I promise you're about have an "Aha" moment in just a second ;)

As we all know, a circle is a total of 360° all the way around. Another thing, if we look at the graph, the tick marks on the lines that go through the circle mean that they are both the same exact length. Since it is a singular angle formed where the two lines meet and the two lines are congruent, then that means the angles of the circle not listed on either side of those lines will be congruent.

Since, the total ° of a circle is 360°, we can subtract what we already have, (116°)

360° - 116° = 244°

Now, this is the combination of both of the angles, but we are only looking for one, so we divide 244 by 2.

244 ÷ 2 = 122

And that leaves us with ∠2 = 122°

Thank you for your question! I hope this helped! Have an amazing day!! :D

A coin is being flipped 400 times. What is the probability of it landing on heads at most 170 times, rounded to the nearest tent
lisabon 2012 [21]

Hello!

We have two probabilities we can use; we have 170/400, for our experiment, and 1/2, which is our theoretical probability.

To solve, we just multiply the two probabilities.

\frac{170}{400}(1/2)=0.2125≈21.3

Therefore, we have about a 21.3% chance of this event occurring.

I hope this helps!

Find the Volume of this Octagonal Pyramid.<br> "B" represents the Area of the octagon base.
Dominik [7]

Answer:

7.06 x 10^(-7) ft 3

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the formula to calculate the volume of an octagonal Pyraamid as following:

<em>+) Volume of octagonal pyramid = 1/3 * Area of the base * Height</em>

As given, the base of the pyramid is an octagon with area equal to 15mm2

=> Area of the base = 15 mm2

The height of the pyramid is the length of the line segment which is perpendicular to the base - which is the red line.

=> Height = 4mm

So we have:

<em>Volume of octagonal pyramid = 1/3 * Area of the base * Height</em>

<em>= 1/3 * 15 * 4 = 20 mm3</em>

<em />

As: 1 mm3 = 3.53 x 10^(-8) ft 3

=> 20 mm3 = 7.06x10^(-7) ft 3

So the volume of the pyramid is :  7.06 x 10^(-7) ft 3

Samples of emissions from three suppliers are classified for conformance to air-quality specifications. The results from 100 sam
tigry1 [53]

Answer:

P(A) = \frac{30}{100}

P(B) = \frac{77}{100}

P(A\ n\ B) = \frac{22}{100}

P(A\ u\ B) = \frac{85}{100}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

See attachment for proper format of table

n = 100 --- Sample

A = Supplier 1

B = Conforms to specification

Solving (a): P(A)

Here, we only consider data in sample 1 row.

In this row:

Yes = 22 and No = 8

So, we have:

n(A) = Yes + No

n(A) = 22 + 8

n(A) = 30

P(A) is then calculated as:

P(A) = \frac{n(A)}{Sample}

P(A) = \frac{30}{100}

Solving (b): P(B)

Here, we only consider data in the Yes column.

In this column:

(1) = 22    (2) = 25 and (3) = 30

So, we have:

n(B) = (1) + (2) + (3)

n(B) = 22 + 25 + 30

n(B) = 77

P(B) is then calculated as:

P(B) = \frac{n(B)}{Sample}

P(B) = \frac{77}{100}

Solving (c): P(A n B)

Here, we only consider the similar cell in the yes column and sample 1 row.

This cell is: [Supplier 1][Yes]

And it is represented with; n(A n B)

So, we have:

n(A\ n\ B) = 22

The probability is then calculated as:

P(A\ n\ B) = \frac{n(A\ n\ B)}{Sample}

P(A\ n\ B) = \frac{22}{100}

Solving (d): P(A u B)

This is calculated as:

P(A\ u\ B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A\ n\ B)

This gives:

P(A\ u\ B) = \frac{30}{100} + \frac{77}{100} - \frac{22}{100}

Take LCM

P(A\ u\ B) = \frac{30+77-22}{100}

P(A\ u\ B) = \frac{85}{100}
