I think it’s 16 because 1/3=3/9 of hardcover books
3/9+4/9=7/9
2/9 is DVDS
72/9=8
8x2=16

<h3>Answer: 10^(1/2)</h3>

When we use an exponent of 1/2, it is the same as a square root. The more general rule is

\sqrt{x} = x^{1/2}

In this case, we plug in x = 10.

The use of a fractional exponent is handy when you want to deal with things like cube roots on a calculator. This is because

\sqrt[3]{x} = x^{1/3}

Many calculators don't have a button labeled \sqrt[3]{} but they have the button x^y to allow fractional exponents.

A baseball player has made 32 free throws in 45 attempts for current success rate of 71%. How many consecutive free throws must
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer: The player need to make 2 consecutive free throws to raise the average to 75%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of extra consecutive free throws to raise the average to 75% be 'x'.

Number of free throws already taken = 32

Number of attempts = 45

According to question, it becomes,

\dfrac{32+x}{45}=0.75\\32+x=45\times 0.75\\\\32+x=33.75\\\\x=33.75-32\\\\x=1.75

Hence, the player need to make 2 consecutive free throws to raise the average to 75%.

tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

Runner B

Step-by-step explanation:

speed = distance ÷ time

Runner A: 1 ÷ 8 = 0.125m/ms

Runner B: 2 ÷ 10 = 0.2m/ms

Runner C: 3 ÷ 20 = 0.15m/ms

Runner D: 5 ÷ 30 = 0.17m/ms
