Plumber's total charge: C(x) = $50 + ($15/hr)x, where x is the # of hours worked.

Setting C(x) = $110, we have $110 = $50 + ($15/hr)x

Subtracting $50 from both sides results in $60 = ($15/hr)x, which comes

out to x = 4. The plumber worked for 4 hours to earn $110.

since the initial fee is $50, and every hour is $15, if h is equal to hour, the equation would be like this:

50 + 15h = 110.

Then, if we want to get the answer, we need to solve the equation.

First we pass the 50 to the other side, like this:

15h = 110 - 50

15h = 60

Then we pass the 15 dividing like this:

h = 60/15

h = 4

And we get four!

So the answer is: 4.

If i make 7.25 an hour and work 4 hours a day for five days how much will i make
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]
Well if you make $7.25 an hour and work four hours then multiply

 7.25 x 4 = 29

so you make $29 a day and you work fro 5 days multiply the amount and the days which is

29 x 5 = 125

so you make $125 dollars after working 4 hours a day for 5 days

What is the integral of sec x (sec x + tan x ) dx
Ann [662]
\sec x(\sec x+\tan x)=\sec^2x+\sec x\tan x

Recall that (\tan x)'=\sec^2x, and (\sec x)'=\sec x\tan x.

So,

\displaystyle\int \sec x(\sec x+\tan x)\,\mathrm dx=\tan x+\sec x+C

The subtraction function

(k-x)(x)

is defined as the subtraction of the two equations, representing each function:

(k-h)(x)=k(x)-h(x)

So, we have

(k-h)(x)=k(x)-h(x)=14x-2-(2x^3+4x-8)=-2x^3+10x+6
