I stood by the duke at the door, and I see that every man that went in had his pockets bulging, or something muffled up under hi

s coat—and I see it warn't no perfumery, neither, not by a long sight. I smelt sickly eggs by the barrel, and rotten cabbages, and such things; and if I know the signs of a dead cat being around, and I bet I do, there was sixty-four of them went in. Answer:

"The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" is a story that was written by American author Mark Twain and it was first published in England in 1884 and later in America in 1885. This excerpt in the question comes from chapter 23 of the book and it narrates the events that Huck and his friends must face during a particularly sticky situation when the townspeople file into the place where Huck and his friends are, to exact revenge.

As you read the excerpt, the reader cannot help but notice the strong and constant use of dialect, words that grammatically speaking might not fit what would be considered correct structure, but that play a really big part in generating emotions and sensations.

In this case, the use of dialect on the part of Huck shows two things: first, that he is a really smart boy and he immediately realizes the true atmosphere and the danger that is beginning to gather around him and his companions. The second, and most important, is that the dialect Huck uses helps to incrase the tension, and the suspense, regarding what will happen next. We know that the townspeople are not going with good intentions, but are rather violent, and Huck expresses that tension, and that uncertainty as to what will come next, through the use of dialectical expressions.

As in any piece of fiction, there are several main themes that run through Kafka's The Metamorphosis. Choose ONE theme that you
olga nikolaevna [1]

One of the themes that I will acknowledge is Grete's character and resilience. At first she was the baby sister, His brother provided for her ( and in fact, for all his family) and she longed for violin classs ( which of course his brother will pay for)

When Gregor experienced a metamorphosis, she started caring for him, feeding and cleaning up after him. Eventually, she get tired of taking care of him and realises that he is a burden for their existance.

And that is the moment when she thrives and florish. In spite of a bad situation, they ( as a family) take the best of it, united and decided to move to a smaller apartment to save money. During this process, Grete grows into a beautiful and secure girl.

Resilience is the ability to recover from difficult circumstances. As Grete and her family did. Resilience is what gives me energy to face life in spite of hard situations that I have encountered.

#1) In act 1, scene1, how does the cobbler`s opinion of Caesar differ from Flavius and Murellus` opinion?

Answer: The cobbler's opinion of Caesar differ from Flavius and Marullus' opinion in that the cobblers feel great respect and admiration towars Caesar's feat while on the other hand we have Marullus worried or even alarmed at Caesar’s return after he defeated his rival and also former co-ruler Pompey. Marullus knew that this victory would mean that Caesar will be the most powerful man in Rome. For this same reason he felt in a very dangerous position. He assumed that Caesar would soon impose one-man rule. Marullus joins Flavius who feels the same way to try and put a stop to Caesar.

I hope it helps, Regards.
