I agree that if there were no system of checks and balances, the process of government would eventually fall apart since the system is an important of the constitution.

The three branches of government (executive, legislative and judicial) are able to limit the powers of others with the help of this system of check and balance. Therefore, all the branches are able to keep check of each other and the power is distributed equally.

If there were no system of checks and balances,the process of government would eventually fall apart.

With checks and balances,each of the three branches of government can limit  the dictatorial attitude of the other two.If the president does not believe that the bill is good for the country,he does not sign it.If the legislative does not agree with the judiciary,they do not sign it.
