Explain what the USA government is doing currently to help ensure that our meat/food is safe to eat? What laws? What regulations

are in effect? What can be done to make our food safes?

One of the main laws is the Pure Food And Drug Administration Act passed in 1906 by Theodore Roosevelt because of the conditions in the meat shops and other places. They test the food for things such as radiation or other biochemical things that could harm us. I don't know that much but it helps keep us safe from the chemicals.
