Answer:

The correct answer is a geologic map.

Explanation:

Geologic maps are primarily used to resolve the concerns involving Earth menaces, resources, and environments. The geologic maps demonstrate the scattering of distinct kinds of rock and the surficial deposits, as well as the locations of the geologic features like folds and faults.

The geologic maps are in the real sense a four-dimensional data system, and due to its unique characteristics it plays an essential role in evaluating the natural hazards like earthquakes and volcanic eruptions in a particular region and environmental or socioeconomic threat.

Explain the purpose of the placenta and describe how a fetus gets its nutrients.
marusya05 [52]

Answer:

The placenta is the temporary association of fetus and maternal tissue. It is meant for nutrition and transport of different substances.

Explanation:

The placenta is a temporary association of fetal and maternal tissues. The placenta is formed from the trophoblast of the blastula. These trophoblasts   form chorionic villi which later forms the placenta. The chorion and allantois also take part in the formation of the placenta. Hence, the human placenta is known as the chorioallantoic placenta. The process of formation of the placenta is known as placentation.

The placenta has several functions but the major function is to provide nutrition to the fetus. The developing fetus gets nutrition from the mother's body by the placenta. The placenta provided with blood vessels which help in the transportation of different substances. It also helps in gas exchange between the mother and baby. Thus it plays a vital role in fetal respiration. The metabolic wastes diffuse through the placenta. Placenta also stores fat, glycogen, which participates in protein metabolism.

Help me with this question plsssss answer this in a complete paragraph
sweet-ann [11.9K]

Answer:

It's possible.

Explanation:

It said if they were nearly as smart as humans. They never said if they were as capable as Humans. Naturally, some would be smarter than others so some might be able to live here but others might have to have their own country. So, it is likely that some Neanderthals will be able to live in modern society, though not all.

Which is an example of scientific evidence that can be used to critique a new scientific argument?
Margaret [11]
When we perform a study, we test a specific hypothesis to see whether our hypothesis is supported by the data or not. If our hypothesis is not supported by the data, then we can argue that a specific argument (that would be important for this hypothesis) does not have a claim in scientific research.

This is more broadly meant though. Usually you need to perform multiple studies and test multiple hypothesis to be able to critique a scientific argument and see whether the claims it makes and the predictions it makes hold up in scientific research.
