Which point could be used to find f(-3)
Naddik [55]

Point C.

f(-3) is basically substituting x = -3 and get the y-value.

So when we substitute x = -3. Focus on x-axis at x = -3 then look up for the y-value. If the y-value is on x = -3 then that's f(-3)

The main difference between the linear and exponential function is the following: the linear function f(x)=ax+b is changing at a constant rate as x  changes and the exponential function f(x)=ab^x is changing at a rate that's always proportional to the value of the function. Using both graphs and tables can be noticed that exponential growth is far more significant than linear growth. By looking only at a table we can determine if a function is linear of exponential by determining which growth is more significant (the exponential function has far more significant growth than the linear function).

Answer:

  f(x) = 2x² +13x -7

Step-by-step explanation:

Given a root r, a factor of the expression with that root is (x -r). For your roots, the factors of a suitable polynomial are ...

  (x -1/2)(x +7)

Since you don't want any fractions, you can multiply this by 2:

  (2x -1)(x +7)

And you can eliminate parentheses and write it as a function.

  f(x) = (2x)(x +7) -1(x +7) = 2x² +14x -x -7

  f(x) = 2x² +13x -7
