<u>The “Great Society” was a set of domestic programs that were imposed by the President Lyndon B. Johnson. The main goals of the plan were social reforms with poverty and racial injustice.</u>

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act was signed into act on 1965. It provided significant federal aid to public education with more than 1 billion dollars to help schools purchase materials and education programs.

In July 1965 Johnson signed the Social Security Amendments of 1965 that created the Medicare and Medicaid, it provided health insurance to Americans aged 65 and older and provisions to Americans with disabilities and other medical conditions.
