The formula for slope is (y2-y1) ÷ (x2-x1). it doesn't matter which y you make y2 and y1 but if you make -3 your y2 then 3 needs to be your x2.
so...
(y2-y1) ÷ (x2-x1)
(-3-0) ÷ (3-15)
-3 ÷ -12
.25 or 1/4

so your answer would be A. The slope of the line is ¼

Answer:

  A) ∠DHG = 96°

  B) arc EF = 134°

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Part A</u>:

As you have shown in your work, angle DHG is supplementary to given angle FHG:

  ∠DHG = 180° -∠FHG

  ∠DHG = 180° -84°

  ∠DHG = 96°

__

<u>Part B</u>:

  ∠DHG is half the sum of arcs EF and DG.

  96° = (1/2)(arc EF + 58°) . . . . . fill in known values

  192° -58° = arc EF . . . . . . . . . . multiply by 2, subtract 58°

  arc EF = 134°

The base of a rectangle is 6cm longer than its height. The area of a rectangle is 91cm squared. What is the perimeter of the rec
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Width = 7cm

Length = 13cm

<u>Explanation:</u>

Area of rectangle =  91cm^{2}

Let width of the rectangle = b ,

So, length = b+6

Area of rectangle = (length X width) - eqn 1

Putting the value of length and width in above equation 1,

91cm^{2} = b  (b+6)\\91 = b^{2}+6b\\b^{2} + 6b-91 = 0\\

On solving the quadratic equation we get,

b = 7cm

So, width (b) = 7cm

and length = 7+6

l = 13cm

Hence,

Width = 7cm

Length = 13cm
